Harry Farthing is an Englishman born in 1964 and raised in the West Country. With a lifelong interest in exploration, archaeology, motorcycles and world history, both published and alternate, he is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and has travelled widely to extreme environments such as the Sahara Desert, the Himalaya, the Amazon and the Arctic North. An experienced mountaineer, he has climbed extensively, including Mt Blanc and the Matterhorn in the Alps, Mt. McKinley in Alaska, Shishapangma, the highest mountain in Tibet, and Everest.
His debut novel, Summit, married his knowledge of world travel, mountaineering and modern history to create an exciting action story considered to both compelling and timely. He has continued this with a sequel, The Ghost Moths, published by Blackstone on February 9, 2021, and described by Kirkus as an 'ambitious, stylishly written, thought-provoking tale.’

“Farthing’s sprawling plot unfolds in short, elegantly written chapters…Farthing presents colorful bits of tapestry and trusts the reader to assemble them and locate the nexus between the physical world and the metaphysical. An extensive glossary, cast of characters, and maps are welcome aids. An ambitious, stylishly written,thought-provoking tale.”
